Career Tree
Dreampath’s Career Tree program is a career guidance workshop that is informative, interactive and activity-driven. It is typically conducted on-campus, but in recent times we have also conducted a modified version fully online. The program introduces children to the different professions they can pursue post 10th 12th, the education options available for these and also the job-oriented (vocational) options for children not interested able to continue further studies. We can address different group sizes – from 10 to even 200 children at a time. Children get a window to many different options for education and careers based on their interest, aptitude and values. They also come away with a strong appreciation of how important it is to plan early for one’s career and how to go about it. The workshops are typically a total of 6 hours, spanning 2-3 days, or an entire day, but can also be customised as per requirement.
We deliver Career Tree programs in government schools, private schools, aided schools, colleges, as well as at charitable institutions for students, NGOs and rural schools. We also partner with other NGOs who are working with students or schools.
Other Workshops:
We deliver guidance workshops at graduate colleges too, for further specialisation options. We also undertake “Train the Trainer” workshops for high school teachers, who are often the first port-of-call for students who are thinking about their careers. Training teachers in career guidance spreads the net wider to cover more and more children with better informed career advice.
Life Skills:
We undertake life skills workshops on the key life skills at high school level. We have integrated the important life skills of self awareness, critical thinking, goal setting and decision making as part of our Career Tree program, so children get a glimpse of how to analyse and make career decisions and how to follow through on them.
Career Craft:
Career Craft is a 2-day workshop, modular and customisable, for pre-final or final year graduates. However, it is applicable and useful to any novice job-seeker. This workshop aims to make job-seekers ‘employment ready’ by imparting specific workplace related skills like communication, time planning and management, team work, personal and work etiquette, confidence building, etc. It also covers resume preparation, job search and interview skills. The workshop is delivered through activity-based learning, role play and active interaction. It enhances confidence, zeal and enthusiasm to face the competitive world.
