Rural Management
About 70% of India’s population resides in rural areas. Rural development has a significant impact on the economic growth of our country. There is an urgent need to develop the villages into centres of economic activity. Rural Management course is an attractive option for students who aspire to engage directly with the rural communities and contribute to their progress.
Rural management course is offered at the post graduate level. It involves planning, organising, directing, and controlling of
co-operatives, agribusiness and allied fields. Fieldwork is an important aspect of the curriculum. The programme structure is so designed that the concepts taught in class is applied in real life through case-studies and interaction with the rural people.
Eligibility
A graduate in any discipline is the primary requirement. Some Universities select candidates based on their scores in one of the following admissions tests – CAT, XAT, CMAT, NMAT and MAT exams.
